Home Grown Veg Plan 2014

Guerrilla Podcasts Home Grown Veg Plan 2014

Springs sprung and just maybe we both know that Guerrilla Podcasts (@guerrillapods / pinterest.com/guerrillapods) Home Grown Veg Plan 2014 is well in progress for the now!  What do I know?  More than a few new seeds have been sown in the backyard, on tha windowsill and in whatever there is of the front garden for the now and all’s well in me head for the Guerrilla home grown food bank for 2014!

Wouldn’t you just know that Lou just couldn’t resist giving more than a helping paw in the bedding boxes recently!  Doin’ what she does as helpful as ever, but for the first time in ages she’s decided to have taken a liking to having a look see up close and personal at the bedding boxes.

So in an attempt to keep her out and look forward to another year of Home Grown pak choi, cauliflower and much more besides for this year, i decided to add a slight barrier to prevent her from burying her beloved bones in me home grown!?

Sunflowers sortedThe Sunflower seeds that were initially sown in a recycled container on Friday 18th April 2014 and placed on the windowsill  have been re-potted.

Patience and work in progress as they grow overtime prior to being planting somewhere outside?

Not sure where yet?

Just grow with the flow on that one.

The potatoes that had been chitting away on the windowsill for a few weeks have finally got a resting place in the front garden and of course quality inspection from Lou does the job for now.

Spuds r us in time Vital Quality inspection in progressSo we’ll see what’s what in about 10 weeks or so and just maybe that there recycled bath will be full of home grown veg by then so no worries for the now.

On the plus side it seems that the Pak Choi that was transplanted from the bedding boxes in the backyard last week are doing well in the front garden?

Fingers crossed on that one as it’s an ongoing experiment for sure finding out what grows where and how well?

The broad beans are loving the space in the front garden right now so i thought we’d cane ’em up.

Just for the record there are a few new additions to the home grown whatever for this year!

Bay leaf / bay tree seeds have arrived to have a grow at and who knows just maybe one or two will do what they do?

The bay seeds were planted or sown on Saturday 26th April 2014.  Eight of the seeds have been sown into one of two propagators and just maybe a few may grow?

What do i know?  No harm in having a grow …
